* Seki Takakazu (also Seki Kowa) (c.1642-1708) (mathematician):
- Seki Takakazu was a Japanese mathematician in the Edo period (1603-1868). Seki laid foundations for the subsequent development of Japanese mathematics known as wasan; and he has been described as Japan's "Newton." (Newton của Japan).

* Ihara Saikaku (1642-1693) (poet) (Người đàn ông suốt đời si tình ?!):
- Ihara Saikaku was a Japanese poet and creator of the "floating world" genre of Japanese prose (thể loại văn xuôi về "thế giới phù du", "thế giới không ngừng nghỉ ?! ).

* Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849) (artist):

- Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾 北斎) was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period (1603-1868). In his time, he was Japan's leading expert on Chinese painting. Born in Edo (now Tokyo), Hokusai is best-known as author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富嶽三十六景 c. 1831) which includes the internationally recognized print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa (created during the 1820s).
